Right Ascension & Declination: Beyond the Lattitude

To prevent my homepage from getting too cluttered, as well as making sure I could represent all of the links I wanted, I decided to move this section of my list of links to a seperate page.

These links vary in quality and usefulness - they're here largely for my reference as well. Many are former stars from the starmap back on the homepage that have been rotated out and kept here for posterity (or posteriority, take your pick). ;)

These ratings are a gague of page content or usefullness (in my opinion). For example, a page for a music group is ranked largely on how much I like the group, not just the page. For resource pages, a page of useful text links outranks spiffy FX. Get it?


Constellation Lyra: Instrumental Music

Jester's Crown * * * *
A fantastic virtuoso-rock band based here in Ann Arbor w/ original electric and acoustic music combining influences of groups like Rush, Marillon and Van Halen. Check out their page for info, pictures, music samples, concert dates and more.
Michael Hsu * * *
A top folk musician I met while here in Ann Arbor. He has great original material, and his page has info on his music and tour dates (mostly currently centered around the American Northeast).
The Rush/NMS Homepage * * * *
The unofficially definitive center for web-browsing Rush fans, including a wide assortment of information, images, up-to-date press releases and links to other Rush sites. Highly recommended.

Amazin' Blue * * *
Truly "the healthiest a cappella group on campus" here at UM, and the most well-established co-ed group.
The Friars * * *
"40 Years of Fun at the Expense of Music" and counting, are a subset of wild guys from the U of M Men's Glee Club known for keeping their audiences guessing while rockin' the house with their high-energy sound.
Desperate Measures * * *
An a cappella group comprised mainly of U of M alumni. A mix of many talents and experiences gives DM their unique sound and versatile repetoire.
The Tufts Beelzebubs * * *
One of the best in the biz. Their power and cutting-edge vocal percussion are simply amazing, live and recorded. Album and event info are on their page.
The Hullabahoos * * *
...of UVA - These guys blew the crowd away at Monsters of A Cappella VI here at U of M. Nice show, great CD, cool guys.
The Xtension Chords * * *
...of UIUC, have their page online and well maintained. These guys took Monsters VI by storm, as well. Check 'em out.
The A Cappella Web Directory * * * *
List of bunches of a cappella groups and their WWW pages. It's run by CASA, the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America, who keeps track of all of this kinda stuff.

A site cataloguing and describing just about every shareware sound utility for the Macintosh imaginable - a good resource for multimedia fans.

A great UNIX mail program. If you're currently doing your email in "emacs", "mail" or (shudder) "vi", check out Pine. It's easy to build and works well.
